Sawtooth Software: The Survey Software of Choice

Adding Instructions to First ACBC Screener Question

In the ACBC module of SSI Web 8, is it possible to have additional instructions included on the first screener question, but not on subsequent ones?

Here is an example of how to use unverified Perl to show one set of instructions on the first screener question, and a different set of instructions on subsequent screener questions. You will want to place the following code in the Header 1 section of the Screener question (where “widget” represents the name of your ACBC exercise):

[%
begin unverified perl
if(QUESTIONNAME() eq "widgit_Screener1")
 {
  return "Here are a few widgets you might like.";
 }
else
 {
  return "Here are a few more widgets you might like.";
 }
end unverified
%]
