Tyson Timmer

Tyson is currently a PhD student ('25) at the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at UCLA. He is currently studying how different groups make use of and value corporate sustainability information with the current focus being focus on researchers, investors, and employees. Tyson also does research for the Center for Impact at Anderson's Open for Good Project, which looks to increase the transparency and usefulness of corporate sustainability disclosure data. Tyson's goal after completing his PhD is to go into academia to continue his research on corporate sustainability and teach the next generations of college students about its importance.

Tyson holds a B.S. in industrial technology from the Vehicle Research Institute at Western Washington University where he studied hybrid vehicle design and manufacturing. He also holds a M.S. degree from the School of the Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan where he studied industrial ecology. Prior to studying at UCLA, Tyson worked in the financial services, oil & gas, and aerospace manufacturing industries.
