split respondents pool into two groups

Hi, I want to randomly split survey respondents into two groups. One group answers question A and the other group answers question B. Also I don't know the total number of respondents.

How do I set it up in Sawtooth? Thanks!

Have you used quota questions before?  They're the go-to way to split up respondents in Lighthouse Studio.

Zach's right, and setting up a quota question where respondents can qualify for multiple cells, with "least quota fill" logic in place makes the division of respondents across the cells random and nearly identical in size.

Thanks Zach and Bryan. I was able to set quota question to divide the respondents. But the question I want to each cell to skip to is a CBC fixed task and Sawtooth shows "CBC questions cannot be skipped to directly".
The trick is to add a text-only question on a page just before the fixed task which you can skip to, that provides a little introduction or text just encouraging the respondent
