Does using a N/A value in a simulation neutralize the attribute?

I am currently running simulations in the wake of a conjoint study. I test 5 different attribute, and I want to neutralize one of them. Is it better in my scenario to allocate the same value to this attribute across all simulations? Or would it be better to assign the N/A value?

I would think that attributing the N/A value would be the best option to consider, but I don't know what it actually means in Sawtooth to select this value.

I you aren't simulating a "None" alternative as part of the scenario, whether you set the attribute to NA for all the product alternatives or hold all product alternatives at the same defined level for that attribute, the result is the same.

To select NA is to add nothing (zero utility) for that attribute.

If you have  None alternative, then it's best to use an NA to neutralize (remove) the effect of the attribute.
