How to assign a constructed list item to a question

I have a constructed list of one item and want to use it with GETVALUE.  I am thinking I need to assign it to a freeform question.  Not sure how to do that.  Help welcome!

How do you want to use it?  In question text or what?  You can call that item with [% ListLabel (listname,1) %] and that will show the label for the first item in the list you indicate.

I suppose you want to know how to call values returned by a list in a question text/option text. Actually in Sawtooth, you can return result of any constructed list/ option of predefined list/ value of previously answered question using SSI’s internal scripting methods.
1.  [% %] is the SSI’s way of directly accessing values and information.
2. [% Begin Unverified Perl %] is the advanced way of accessing values and information. In this you can even compute different values for variables and using return “”; you can display what you want to display.

Read the help for further detailed explaination.

Let me know if this helps.
