In a CBC exercise, I understand it is possible to link the conditional price shown on choice tasks to the response of a question elsewhere in the survey (probably before the CBC). I seek to know how?
So for example, we have in a study:
• An earlier question measures the number of units of the product of interest used monthly and say the response for a respondent 1 is 100 units and 50 units for another respondent 2.
• In CBC exercise, we have per unit price as the price attribute with levels e.g. $10, $20, etc.
• Can we show to respondent 1, $1000 ($10 x 100 units), $2000, etc. as the possible monthly outlays and $500, $1000, etc. to respondent 2 as the monthly outlays on the CBC choice task for price? Purpose being to make the concepts and the choice task exercise more relevant to the respondent in a certain context.
