Incorrect Design ID in the data file keeps coming back

Unfortunately the error 'Incorrect Design ID'  when running the analysis keeps coming back. When we delete respondent 'x', the error occurs for respondent 'x+1'. And this happens continue.

The error starts at row 4.

It doesn't matter which analyse we try to run, the error occurs every time.

How can we solve this?

Just to clarify, the reason that this happens is when you click Generate Design in the software, the design is created and assigned a numeric ID.  If you make a change and click Generate Design again, you get a new design with a new ID.

The design ID is saved when a respondent takes the survey, so the reason this is happened is that the design ID the respondent saw and the design ID currently loaded in your survey from the last time you clicked Generate Design are different.  It could be test data, it could be copying and pasting data together, or it could be that someone created a new design after initially fielding the survey.
Hi Brian! Many thanks for your good answer. What if I generated a second design during the pre-test phase.  Is there any chance to still analyse the data (at least part of it?)? In other words is this mistake fixable? Many thanks in advance! Alfons

Usually this is caused by test data that used different design IDs getting left in your data.  If that isn't the case, please contact us at support@sawtoothsoftware.com with your study files attached.

This also can happen if you've merged data from multiple languages together and you did export / imported the design instead of doing a "Save as" to set up the second language.
