Filter management not working correctly?

I seem to be having problems with my filtering in SSI web 9. I am trying to segment my data using filters however the numbers don't stack up. I have used both the basic and advanced logic builder but something seems to be going wrong.

I am using the following filter

(Q7 = 1) OR (Q7 = 2) OR (Q7 = 4) OR (Q7 = 9) OR (Q7 = 14) AND (Q6 = 1)

Q7 is location variable while Q6 is a categorical variable (either over or under $1500 price)

If I use just (Q7 = 1) OR (Q7 = 2) OR (Q7 = 4) OR (Q7 = 9) OR (Q7 = 14) then I get the correct number of respondents (I have run the dataset through a number of statistical packages) but when I add the "AND (Q6=1)" the wrong number of respondents for analysis come back. I have checked the data and the numbers manually and while it should return approximately 140 respondents for analysis it comes back with something like 230. I can't see where the error is occuring?

Am I missing something obvious?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jasha, try this ...

((Q7 = 1) OR (Q7 = 2) OR (Q7 = 4) OR (Q7 = 9) OR (Q7 = 14)) AND (Q6 = 1)

Pop some brackets in to nest the Q7 conditions.
