How can I recode blanks (from skip logic)?

For non-conjoint items, is there way to auto-code (or recode on the back end) data for missing fields? That is, I have a series of items which are bypassed due to skip logic. I would prefer the software to use a specific value for those blanks as opposed to a true blank. Is this something the software can support?

You can use the SSI Script function SetValue to update survey question variables and you can use it to update pass-in fields.

Examples ...
[%SetValue(Q5,1)%]; Sets Q5 to a 1.
[%SetValue(Q8,Q2)%]: Sets Q8 to the value of Q2.
[%SetValue(Category,Q10_r1+1)%]; Sets Category to the value of Q10_r1+1.

You can also use SetValue within Perl script for more advanced situations.
