What is Dimension

Dear all,

Do you know what dimensions is? What is its output(extension)? Do we support it in our CAPI?

Sawtooth Software has its own CAPI capabilities.

Just a slice of history ...

MicroTab / Surveycraft started in Australia in the 80's. It was a DOS based software product that handled CADE (Computer Aided Data Entry), CATI and CAPI and it also had a powerful sample management system.

In the late 90's, SPSS purchased Surveycraft and other competitor products. From these purchases, a new Windows based software product was eventually released. I recall the name changing a few times. At one time it was called Vision 2000. Along came web surveying and the Dimensions name was introduced to the software - SPSS Dimensions.

Since then, IBM purchased SPSS and I believe it all falls under the IBM SPSS Data Collection suite.

Here is some basic information about Dimensions here ...

I know Dimensions has many import / export capabilities.

Best you look up IBM SPSS Data Collection. This will guide you to more Dimensions information.

Hope that helps in some way.

Dimensions ( IBM Data colleciton) have facility to export in ddf, spss, csv format. You may need to change format based on SSI format to make it compatible to use here. I personally worked on Sawtooth as well as on IBM Data collection (Dimensions) since the last couple of years. Let me know what are you looking exactly here.
