Yonne Peters is a PhD candidate at the department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology of the Radboud university medical center in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. She started her project in January 2017, directly after obtaining her Master’s degree in Medicine.
Marcus Parrish is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Chemical and Systems Biology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to Stanford, he received his PhD in Biological Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his BS in Biomedical Engineering from Yale University.
Dr Maria Jose qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Cape Town in 2011. She has experience in clinical medicine as well as academia. She is a 2018 Mandela Washington Fellow and is completing her Master’s in Public Health with a focus on Health Economics at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Kathleen Jacobs is a research and teaching assistant at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences (Germany), where she also lectures on subjects such as sustainable consumer behavior and sustainability marketing. She is working on her PhD thesis in Sustainable Consumption in collaboration with the Brandenburg University of Technology (Germany). Her research projects raise questions about consumer behavior in the context of social banking, sustainable fashion and longer-lasting electrical appliances. Prior to joining Alanus University, Kathleen had studied Business Administration with a focus on Marketing, and gained practical experiences in industries such as banking, FMCG and sustainable fashion.
Amy Andes is a PhD student in the Food Science and Technology department at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Before starting her PhD research, Amy graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a BS in Chemistry. Her undergraduate career included an internship at a pharmaceutical company and an internship at a food science startup. She researched the ethics of authorship throughout STEM disciplines in her final semesters.
