Xinyi Ng

Xinyi Ng is pursuing her PhD at the Department of Pharmaceutical Health Services Research, University of Maryland Baltimore. Her research interests include the use of CBC and MaxDiff techniques to elicit patients’ preferences for different treatment modalities, particularly in the field of Rheumatology. She hopes that her work can eventually facilitate the incorporation of patient preferences into medical decision-making among patients, clinicians, payer and policy-makers.

Her dissertation project examines the outcomes that are most prioritized by patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), and the benefit-risks preferences that they have for the use of corticosteroids. To combat the stress of graduate school, Xinyi practices yoga regularly and enjoys a good hike during her leisure time.
