Raymond Prior

Raymond is a doctoral candidate in West Virginia University’s prestigious Sport and Exercise Psychology program. A native of New Mexico, Raymond received bachelor’s degrees in Communication & Journalism and Psychology from the University of New Mexico and a master’s degree in Exercise and Sport Sciences from Ithaca College. Raymond’s research interests examine various methods for delivering mental training services.

Before beginning a graduate career at WVU, Raymond played soccer at the club, U.S. Soccer Olympic Developmental, intercollegiate, and semi-professional levels. Along with being a graduate student at WVU, Raymond is a sport and performance consultant and consults with elite athletes, coaches, and teams in a variety of sports and performance realms. Raymond’s personal interests include playing golf, watching sport, the beach, and New Mexican food.
