Alyssa Martin

Alyssa Martin is currently pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Dakota with a higher education emphasis. She is particularly interested in education policy issues—an interest spurred, in part, by her day job as director of Policy Services for the North Dakota School Boards Association. Martin’s dissertation will focus on the role Massive Open Online Courses are playing in the postsecondary education by surveying human resource managers throughout the United States on the acceptability of hiring job applicants with MOOC credentials.

This dissertation will use Sawtooth’s choice based conjoint and survey software to conduct this survey. In her spare time, Martin enjoys renovating her 1950’s atomic ranch home; tending to her “kids with four legs,” basset hound, Maddy, and cat, Penelope; and spending time with family.
