Kyle Spradling

Kyle Spradling is a resident physician in Urologic Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California.

In addition to his clinical and surgical training, Kyle is involved in clinical outcomes research, quality improvement initiatives in physician-patient shared decision making. He is also interested in surgical resident education.

Resident education involves a variety of curricular elements. In the United States, surgical residents are required to participate in formal didactic lectures throughout their training. Currently, the format and content of these didactic sessions vary by presenter and institution, and it is not known which didactic format or method of delivery is most beneficial to surgical residents.

Kyle aims to examine how surgical residents value different aspects of didactic education during their surgical training in order to improve structured didactic learning.
