Felix Bachner

Felix works towards his M.Sc. degree in a double degree program jointly organised by Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi in Milan, Italy and ESSEC Business School in Cergy, Paris. Despite his specialisation in Corporate Finance, Felix is interested in sustainable corporate strategies. In his final thesis, he is analysing the competitive advantage generated by sustainable strategies and is quantifying the impact in the German automotive industry with a value creation concept. Additionally, he is assessing the potential of entrepreneurial management practices to anchor sustainability in MNCs.

These topics are crucial since the effect of sustainability has not been quantified from a stakeholder perspective in the form of value creation. Furthermore, the contribution of the work lies in the applicability of entrepreneurial management in MNCs in the context of sustainability. With these two aspects, the research can provide insights in precise strategic measures and their levels for corporate strategic decision making and the establishment of a sustainable competitive advantage. The thesis connects top-level strategic decisions with implementation issues and is therefore relevant for any (top-level) manager and consultancies particularly in the automotive industry.
