Irina Stoica

Irina Stoica is a postgraduate student in Business Administration at Maastricht School of Management, Romania. Besides her studies, Irina worked as a Research and Product Development Manager for over 10 years in the bakery ingredients field.

She spends her leisure time with family, doing sports like swimming and dancing.

Her research focus on small and medium size bakeries (SMEs), purchasing decision-making process, from Romania market. The main research questions from her exploratory study are:

  1. What criteria do the Romanian SME's Bakeries evaluate for the supplier's selection process? How important are the various criteria, especially relative to one another?
  2. When the decision-makers consider multiple purchasing criteria in their purchasing process, how are they applied simultaneously? How do these decision makers trade-off one criterion to another in the buying process?

The Sawtooth CBC methodology software will be used to identify the SME preference and trade offs between several attributes such as product quality, delivery service, price, product functionality and relationship with sales representative. Based on data gathered, the shares of preference will be computed for different supplier profiles using market simulations software. The results of this study will be part of her master dissertation paper.
