Markus Daubler

Markus Däubler is a 25-year old student at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. After completing his bachelor’s degree in business administration at the LMU in 2015 he decided to stay in Munich for his master’s degree as well. Within his master program he is focusing on the areas "Innovation" and "Marketing & Strategy". At the moment, Markus is working on his master thesis in cooperation with the Institute of Electronic Commerce and Digital Markets. Beyond that, he is currently employed by the diva-e strategy GmbH, a digital consulting firm.

With his thesis Markus will contribute to the electric car acceptance literature. Especially in times of car manufacturers‘ strategy changes and governmental interventions it’s necessary to know about potential differences in the degree of battery electric car acceptance among consumers in order to make decisions based on the most accurate information.

That is why the goal of his work is to reveal such differences in customer preferences regarding battery electric cars. Therefore, he will run a choice-based conjoint analysis and cluster his sample into different groups regarding demographic and psychological aspects. He will then compare the results of the various cluster to disclose crucial differences which might affect future strategies of car manufacturers and politicians.
