Amanda Belarmino

Amanda Belarmino is a PhD. candidate at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. She will be using Sawtooth Software to conduct a choice-based conjoint analysis to determine the willingness-to-pay of convention and meetings attendees for peer-to-peer accommodations, like Airbnb. The goal of her dissertation is to determine if peer-to-peer accommodations can help cities attract conventions and events when there is a lack of hotel rooms.

Amanda hold a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Houston and Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University. Her research interests included revenue management, pricing, and consumer behavior in hospitality management, with an emphasis in peer-to-peer accommodations
