Alfons Priessner

Alfons is a PhD candidate at the University of Klagenfurt, Austria, and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Nina Hampl. Before he has started his PhD program, he worked for an international management consulting firm for a couple of years. His master's degree in Strategy, Innovation and Management Control was obtained from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

His PhD thesis is dealing with the acceptance of electric vehicles (EVs). In one of his research projects Alfons is interested in examining the impact of product-service-pricing bundles on the acceptance of EVs. These bundles can serve as a value-added offer, which reduces the perceived uncertainty and risk of using a new product (e.g., an EV) and hence might increase its valuation and its likelihood of purchase.

Therefore, for this project, Alfons will use an Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint design to elicit user preferences for various attributes of these EV-product-service bundles and for pricing strategies targeted at distinctive potential EV customer segments.

In his free time he relaxes while riding a tractor or feeding cows on his parents’ farm.
