We are pleased to announce that the 2016 Sawtooth Software Conference will be held September 28-30, 2016 at the Park City Marriott in Park City, Utah. This conference is held only once every 18 months. If you are interested in delivering a 25-30 minute presentation and also submitting a written journal-quality paper for publishing in the Conference Proceedings, please respond by February 26 to this call for papers.

We have decided that the time has come to rename SSI Web. SSI Web will now be called Lighthouse Studio. It is the same great product, just a new name. Lighthouse Studio 9 will be released soon. It has a new integrated market simulator, drag and drop capabilities, and the ability to do interviewing without an internet connection (CAPI) on Android devices.

Export .SSI File Bridge from Discover to SSI Web

Our latest release of Discover can export its questionnaires to the SSI Web system (exporting a .SSI file). This makes the Discover platform even more attractive for those ready to give it a try. If you program a questionnaire in Discover and later find that you want to move it to the more powerful SSI Web platform, you can now do so.

For some time now we have been working on the new conjoint market simulator that will replace SMRT's market simulator. This simulator is currently in beta as a standalone tool. Soon the new simulator will be integrated within the SSI Web platform (but also available as a standalone tool).

Announcing 2016 Marketing Analytics Competition

Sawtooth Software, together with Stanley Black & Decker and SSI (Survey Sampling International) are pleased to announce the 2016 Sawtooth Software Marketing Analytics Consulting Challenge! All interested universities may participate in Phase I of the competition, to be managed and judged within each school. The subject matter is a real business problem supplied by Stanley Black & Decker. This case study will be made available the first week of January, 2016 and will suggest a CBC (Choice-Based Conjoint) solution to the problem.
