Edit Grid Row/Column Label and Question Settings
| Type the label for the question in this field.
| Click the "pencil" icon |
| You can remove the Row or Column containing the labels by deleting all text for the row or column of labels. If no text is supplied, SSI Web removes the associated row or column entirely from the grid.
| Select the question type for this row/column. A grid can include multiple question types. The selections are:
| Select (includes radio, check-box, and combo-box)
| Numeric
| Open-End (Fixed Entry or Free Entry)
| Constant Sum (numeric entry boxes that typically sum to a particular value)
| Ranking (for ranking items from best to worst using numeric entry or combo boxes)
| Depending on the question type you select, there are different options for formatting/asking the questions. The options are the same as available in the non-grid version of each question type in SSI Web. We have provided a link for each question type below for you to refer to the relevant question settings.

| This field lets you provide additional "error text" associated with this particular row or column of this grid question. The "error text" is the additional text that can be shown to the respondent if there is something invalid regarding the grid question. The text you provide here is used within the [%ErrText( )%] function when the survey runs on a server.
| Grid questions often have many elements for respondents to correctly complete, so it is important to supply Error Text to point them to the exact place on the grid to remedy.
| For example, if the row or column question is regarding the person's marital status, you could specify the error text as "(Marital Status)". When using the default error text, the respondent might see a message such as:
| You forgot to answer question #2 (Marital Status)! Please answer the question and click the Next button again.
| You supply error text and use system variables for "errors" under Compose | Write Questionnaire | Global Settings... | Error Messages...
