By default, Apache (Local Test Server) is invoked and running in the background whenever SSI Web is running (and shut down when ever SSI Web is shut down). You may wish to change this behavior. For example, you may have your own installation of Apache and not want SSI Web's installation of Apache to interfere. Or, you may wish to close SSI Web but have Apache continue working (perhaps for the purpose of data collection).
This dialog lets you specify whether the Local Test Server (Apache) should automatically start up when SSI Web is running or whether you wish to manually start and stop the Local Test Server. If you choose to manually start and stop Apache, the Start and Stop buttons are activated.
