General Survey Software (CiW)

CiW is our system for general web-based or CAPI interviewing (computers not connected to the Web). It enables all the standard question types: select, numeric, open-end, grid, ranking, rating, constant sum. CiW also supports skip patterns, data piping, and dynamic list building. It is a point-and-click, template-based system that requires no specialized programming skills.

CiW is a component within our larger SSI Web system. Its capabilities integrate seamlessly with our conjoint analysis systems and also MaxDiff.

CiW Specifications:

• Four system sizes to choose from: 100 data fields; 500 data fields; 1000 data fields; unlimited data fields.
• Can export data to text-only, .csv (supported by Excel), and SPSS data formats
• Includes comprehensive manual, with tutorial and examples

System Requirements

SSI Web requires Windows XP or later.

Server Requirements

For web-based data collection, the software works on any Windows or Unix(Linux) based server platform that supports Perl scripts (including inexpensive shared hosting solutions).
