Amanda Belarmino is a PhD. candidate at the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston. She will be using Sawtooth Software to conduct a choice-based conjoint analysis to determine the willingness-to-pay of convention and meetings attendees for peer-to-peer accommodations, like Airbnb. The goal of her dissertation is to determine if peer-to-peer accommodations can help cities attract conventions and events when there is a lack of hotel rooms.
