Oliver Gretsch

Oliver combined a technical and economic background by studying Business and Engineering at Hochschule Furtwangen (degree: B.Sc.). Subsequently, he continued with his studies in Corporate Management & Economics (M.A.) at Zeppelin University in Friedrichshafen, Germany. In his leisure time he is engaged in student consulting, politics and doing sports like biking and fitness training.

In connection with his Master’s thesis he will focus on a research project on family businesses in Germany. The aim of the thesis will be to demonstrate the relative weighting of selection criteria for the succession of management positions (Chief Executive Officers) in family businesses in Germany when comparing family-related and external potential managers. For that reason, an Adaptive Conjoint Analysis (ACA-Module from Sawtooth Software) will be conducted with relevant decision-makers in family businesses in order to illustrate the relative weighting of selection criteria.
