Sawtooth Software: The Survey Software of Choice

Lea Rötter is currently studying Business Psychology at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld, Germany. After participating in a project dealing with soccer marketing and an internship she decided to specialize in Marketing and Market Research in her studies.

 Her bachelor thesis deals with price differentiation in the professional soccer market. Nowadays, professional soccer clubs in Germany can be seen as medium-sized companies which offer soccer as their service to thousands of fans visiting the matches every week. Therefore, it is also very important for soccer clubs to have a professional price management at their disposal.

Lea uses Sawtooth’s Conjoint tool to conduct a Choice Based Conjoint Analysis for her bachelor thesis. The main goal is to find out which different amounts of utility different levels of attributes of a seat in a stadium offer. The interesting attributes are the quality of the sight and comfort of the seat as well as the opponent of the match. This will be the basis to find out which price levels are compatible with specific combinations of attributes. Afterwards Lea uses her findings to create an exemplary price differentiation program.

Lea is looking forward to start her Master’s after finishing her Bachelor of Science degree this year.
