Thomasz Karasek

Tomasz Karasek is a second-year MBA student at Wharton majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management. He graduated from the University of Gdansk with a major in Economics and Business Administration. After additional courses at the Warsaw School of Economics, he joined McKinsey. Although based in the Warsaw office, over three years he worked for clients in Europe and both Americas. 

His project time was evenly divided between office-based strategy design projects and operations improvement projects that allowed him to “get dirty” and spend many hours in underground mines. Tomasz used the summer break to get some entrepreneurial experience at a Sao Paulo-based start-up Pitzi.com.br improving the sales organization.  Keen NGO supporter, Tomasz has worked with several non-profits and co-led a campaign that raised $50K for a treatment of his college friend who suffers from multiple sclerosis. Tomasz is a big music fan, constantly expanding his collection of 2000 albums and co-heading Wharton Bateria (Brazilian Samba Band). He also enjoys European cinema and travelling.
