David Thexton

David-Todd is an Associate Faculty teaching in the fields of world affairs and sustainability with the School of Business at Royal Roads University (Victoria, CANADA).  He is also a Lecturer in Geopolitics at the Grenoble École de Management (Grenoble, FRANCE).  He is currently working toward his Master of Science degree in Applied Environmental Economics at the University of London.

David-Todd’s chief research interests focus on market-based governance mechanisms (like fair trade).  His current research explores the link between consumption in fair trade markets and conventional political participation.  The research uses Sawtooth’s CBC-HB application to estimate individual-level utilities for fairly traded goods.  A summary of this research will be available on the Sawtooth website in October 2012.
