The beta simulator is no longer available for download. Version 1.0.0 will be available shortly.
We invite you to install and test this beta version of the new Sawtooth Software Choice Simulator. This beta version is currently available as a standalone application, and we eventually will be also integrating its capabilities within the SSI Web platform.
This simulator is designed to replace the SMRT Market Simulator (Capabilities from the Advanced Simulation Module such as product search are not yet implemented).
You will also notice that some features that appear in this beta software menu have not yet been implemented: a) ability to create a PowerPoint report, and b) upload to the Online Market Simulator. These features will be coming over the next few months.
We have done a great deal of testing with this beta software and believe that the calculations of utilities and shares of preference are correct. However, because it is still beta software, we recommend you exercise caution if using this tool for real project work.
To install, click the "Download Beta Version" button and save the executable file to your hard drive. Double-click the executable to start the installation.
Before you can use the simulator, you must create a Sawtooth Software Account, which can be done at https://account.sawtoothsoftware.com. Once created, you can sign in using the user icon in the upper right corner of the simulator. Your licenses to the software will automatically be downloaded when you sign in, however it may take up to one business day for beta licenses to the simulator to be created for you.
The simulator has the ability to create Excel-based simulators for use by clients utilizing Sawtooth Software’s Randomized First Choice simulation method. In order for clients to be able to use RFC within Excel, they must install the Excel plugin that ships with the Choice Simulator.
